ATL House Tour

Yet another lovely home featured in Atlanta Homes & Living Magazine. This one is just too perfect for words and I believe this fits my taste to a tee. I love the neutral palette of black and white and the hints of lime green, pinks and soft blues. More than that are the shapes found throughout this beautiful home, designed by local ATL designer, Margaret Bosbyshell for Kim & Laura Ulam. It's sort of like Dorothy Draper and Kelly Wearstler on lite, not as loud but somehow still bold and interesting. Take a look at the love below:

This is a perfect bedroom look for me. It's really fresh and young, but neutral. I don't care for green one bit, so if I were going to replicate this look (I'm going to...) I would love to do teal as a dominate color with little pops of yellow and gray/silver.

The shapes in this room, and throughout this house, border on dramatic, even bold. Yet the atmosphere is light, fresh and airy. I get the feeling, just by looking at these pictures, that if I were a guest in this home, I wouldn't feel overwhelmed at all.

Grey walls...enough said.

I love these chairs and I've been wondering what sort of accent chairs to use in my living room. I do believe I've seen this style on eBay from time to time and if I remember correctly, this is an Asian style of chair. Does anyone know? Either way, mirrors with a gorgeous shape, a Lucite table (to die for) and an area rug with a Greek-key scroll pattern. Le sigh.

I just died of happy, happy, joy, joy with this entrance. I really just did...

This is one of the other living rooms (it's apparently a really big home) and I almost love it as much as the first one....almost.

So....what do you folks think of my new favorite home?

cB2 in ATL

Yay....blah, blah, blah.

I'm up past my bed time and I was surfing the Web when I found out that there will be a cB2 in Atlanta at a $2 billion mixed-use development project called 12th & Midtown slated to open this Spring! I live down the street and well, let's just say....I'm going to be there every day!!!

I literally just started saving up my $$$$ and now I'm making a wishlist. Here are some items I really like, should you wish to donate to the "Lindsey Lou! at cB2 in the ATL" Fund:

Atlanta House Tour

I decided to take a look at some of the houses and condos in Atlanta, and I found this one featured in Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Magazine. Lee Kleinhelter and her husband, Kevin, live in a high-rise above Peachtree Street that manages to be glam, modern, spacious and airy. It's absolutely beautiful. The palette is neutral, mostly white, with little pops of yellow, brown and black. Gorgeous! Take a look at the love below:

New Year...New Start

Hello All,

Well, I hope each and everyone one you had a Happy New Year, despite the frigid temperatures and that you're all prepared to start meeting some of your new goals this year. Most of my goals involve getting my writing career up and running, or decorating my apartment, but I also need to get out of the house of the house more often. Take up a class or something.

Well I am. I just RSVP'd last night to Eddie Ross's Atlanta Framing Party + Giveaway. There will be hot tea and some tea sandwiches and Eddie will teach us all about the art of framing. I tried that last year with some prints in Ikea frames hung salon-style on my dining room wall and I think it looks good, but it could always look better. Plus, Ross has framed some really interesting things like silver spoons and baby jammies. Too cute!

After the class, we're heading over to Scott Antique Markets. I've never been there, so this should be lots of fun.

So anyway, that's what I will be up to this weekend. Do any of you have weekend projects in mind?
