Where the Wild Things Are

I've always been a fan of animal prints in fashion, but now I'm loving the trend in home decor.  A splash of animal print here and there (that's all I could really do with, personally) looks lovely amid a strong, solid decor theme.  After all, a little bit really does go a long way!

Trend Alert! Stripes

Ok, I don't know if stripes are so much a trend, as much as a perennial classic.  I see them over and over again, each year.  Nautical stripes, vertical stripes, etc.  I'm really fawning over the plethora of striped dresses this season, and for some reason, I think I could maybe pull them off. Trends: Gold Oxfords and Loafers

I have been seeing these a lot lately and while I normally abhor fashion trends, I am smitten with the look and variety of gold loafers and oxfords.  I have a pair of mustard yellow bow flats that always feel a little more dressy than my black flats and I'm thinking that some gold flats would feel luxurious and rich...that's just me, though.

For the Birds

I've noticed a trend recently...birdie accents are everywhere.  Perhaps because it's Spring and the birds chirping outside my window at 2 in the morning, that I've only noticed these adorable birdie accents.  I have to say though, that I love them.  Birdie accents are ridiculously cute and really, any one of these could be a refreshing addition to my (mostly) plain Jane decor....

Trend Alert! Turquoise & Gold

Trend : Lucite

Yesterday morning I got the chance to watch one of my favorite designers on "Live with Regis & Kelly,"  Michael Kors.  Kelly wore this absolutely lovely sheath with a this white leather belt and a chunky Lucite bracelet.  Turns out Lucite is hot this Spring.  And certainly this fashion trend could easily translate into the home.  Here are some lovely Lucite items for the home and a few Lucite baubles thrown in (but that's just so I could say baubles).  The great thing about Lucite though is that it's pretty much unbreakable.  If you're anywhere near as clumsy as me....well, that's a good thing.
